2013 Hairstyles for Men and Women

For the Ladies- I would like to start this blog off with a BANG!!! 2013 is about being a trendsetter. Update your look with a snip of your fringe and wha lah you have an ultra-modern, trend setting, make all your friends jealous hairstyle, that will be sure to grab the attention of everyone around you. Bangs are so stylish and trendy that they can transform the most boring and casual hairstyle into the hottest haircut of the season. The greatest advantage of bangs is that it can upgrade your image without changing the length of your main . If you have and want to keep your long hair I am sure you would like the idea of having a brand new hairstyle without compromising the length of your hair. Bangs will work with any hair style weather it be short or long, but before you go chopping away, have a professional hair stylist analyze your face shape to give you the perfect fringe to compliment your face structure or to hide any imperfections you might have.

Trending hair styles include a lot of elegant and glamorous looks. I am all about minimal effort with gorgeous results. For medium to long hair, braids are easy, beautiful, and make a statement. Simply apply mouse to your tresses, create your braid, pull gently on the sides for a messy effect. My favorite for being on the go is a messy side braid topped with a hat. For shorter hair, apply texturing paste to create spikes or a sea spray for volume and remarkable texture.

For the Men- I must admit I am in love with mens cuts and styling this season, they are classic cuts with a modern twist. I see a lot of styles with short tapered sides and textured length on top. I find these cuts to be very versatile for the guy looking for something he can wear at the office then quickly change for a night out on the town. 2013 is about slick comb overs for shorter hair, messy layers for medium length hair and for longer hair a nice clean side part.

In ancient civilizations, women’s hair was often elaborately and carefully dressed in special ways. Women coloured their hair, curled it, and pinned it up in a variety of ways. They set their hair in waves and curls using wet clay, which they dried in the sun and then combed out, or else by using a jelly made of quince seeds soaked in water, or curling tongs and curling irons of various kinds.
